Ring Sizing

Find your perfect fit

Everything you need to find your ring size at home.

Determine your ring size

Our rings come in UK letter sizes. Use one of these simple methods at home, then find your size in the chart below.

  1. 1

    Measure a ring you own

Choose a ring that fits the finger you're buying for. Measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres.

Match that number to the inside diameter column in the chart.

  2. 2

    Measure your finger

Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around the base of your finger. Mark where it meets, then measure the length in millimetres.

Match that number to the circumference column.

  3. 3

    Use a ring sizer

Any high-street jeweller can measure you for free in a few seconds.

EU ring sizes match the circumference in millimetres. Charts vary slightly between brands, so if you're unsure, measure a ring that already fits you well.

Sizing Tips & Questions

A gold snake ring with two small clear gemstones, resting on a white surface with soft, warm light reflections.

When is the best time to measure?

At the end of the day, when your hands are warm. Fingers are slightly smaller in the morning and when you're cold, and can swell in hot weather.

I'm between two sizes. Which should I choose?

Choose the larger size. It's also worth sizing up for wide or chunky bands, which feel tighter than slim ones.

Do open rings need a size?

No. Our open-design rings, such as the Elio Drop Ring and the Contour Ring, have a small opening so they can be gently adjusted to fit. They're one size and fit most fingers, roughly UK sizes J to P. They're a lovely choice for gifts when you don't know someone's size.

How do I adjust an open ring?

Hold the ring with both hands and press the ends very gently towards each other to make it smaller, or ease them apart to make it larger. Make small adjustments a little at a time, and avoid bending it back and forth repeatedly: frequent bending can weaken the metal and wear the gold plating at the bend. Never use tools, as they can scratch or crack the finish.

Does my knuckle matter?

Yes. The ring needs to slide over your knuckle as well as sit comfortably at the base of your finger. If your knuckle is larger, measure both and go with the larger size.

I'm buying a ring as a gift. How do I find their size?

Borrow a ring they wear on the same finger and measure its inside diameter. If that's not possible, (most women's rings are bought in sizes L to P) and we're happy to exchange the size, provided the ring is in stock and is not made-to-order/custom made.

Are stacking rings sized differently?

Wearing several rings together takes up more space, so you may want to go up half a size for a stack.

Can I exchange my ring for a different size?

Yes – unworn rings can be exchanged for another size within 14 days, provided we have your desired size in stock, and provided the ring is not a made-to-order/customer made ring. See our Delivery & returns page.

Can my ring be resized?

Gold-plated and vermeil rings can't be resized without compromising the plating. 9ct gold rings can often be resized by a jeweller, however we do not currently offer this service ourselves.
